Yes you are right. The same thing happened with me at the time of test invitation too, I called and agent said no date but I got the test invite just after 2 days. Sometimes agent doesn't want to give details or may be they didn't like me voice :D

About Dubai stamps you are right, I had the translation for Dubai ones also but officer said as long as entry exit is mentioned no need for translation. You are right, nothing can be done for not readable stamps.

No they didn't ask the reason for small trips only for the long trips(couple of month)

No need at all, but please double check your passport stamps with your residency calculator. If there is any foreign language stamp on passport, get it translated.

Applied for renewal for whole family on 5th May got PR cards yesterday 2nd Spet.
