Cic wont care what you do or go after getting PR, that's upto you. But your wife has to convince Cic that she has substantial and concrete tie with Canada, and that you will not go for govt. benefits once you land there; but she must proof the solid intention to go back to Canada to settle...

Since you are a PR in Canada, they already have your details. if you are sponsoring your wife, then you have to provide her(the applicant) Birth Certificate, not yours or any of her family member unless they are applicant too. Please feel free to ask if you still have confusion.

Hello Sue, Yes, you are right. I'm really one of the fortunate one. My wife got her PR way before expected. well, 28 month is the maximum period. I'll pray so you and everyone gets the visa before the official time.

I totally agree with you. It doesn't work that way. for visitor visa, you have to convince the immigration that you are coming back. if you applied for PR, then your intention is crystal clear; therefore, the chances of refusal in visit visa is 100%. Unless ofcourse it is an emergency reason...
