So if my wife and I decide to apply outland and live in Canada while waiting for approval, can we just drive to the US and back across with COPR in hand once it's approved? It would be nice to avoid the extra time waiting for an inland appointment to land if it's as simple as that.

I am the husband and my wife is the US citizen. She may qualify for a NAFTA work permit with her credentials but she's looking at transitioning out of her current field and she's fine not working for a year or so if that's all it will take to receive her PR. I should make enough for the 3 of us...

Rob, Where are you getting the 8-10 months number? I was going to do an inland PR app for my American wife because on the CIC website, the visa office in Los Angeles (closest to us) is showing 26 months + the 1 month sponsor review, and the inland app is "only" 22 months total. And if for some...
