Only your employer can call, I tried, they told me LMOs can take 8weeks and up.. when i told them I've been waiting for 29weeks, she just said I guess you fall in the 'and up group'... soooo rude..

Yea I don't get it either. Next week will be 6month for me. How can Services Canada say 8weeks, when the majority waits at at least 20weeks to 7month. Maybe they read 8weeks of a paper from last year.

21 weeks for me now. LMO in BC, times vary a lot but seems like it can take up to 6Month at the moment.

Since the LMO is lodged by the employer, is the individual allowed to request a status from services canada? So far my employer always told me that they are in contact with services canada and that I only get updates through the employer and not services canada directly. Can I just call services...

Wow applied end of June, and I thought my LMO applied end of August was slow. Hope you get yours soon, its ridicules how long this is taking. I'm starting to regret my decision to work in Canada, should have stayed in Australia.

You are from the Netherlands right? In that case you do not need a TRV (visitor visa) to visit Canada, u can just rock up with your passport and get a 90 day visa. Just state that you are only visiting. Once your lmo is approved you have to do a flagpole run, i.e. cross the border again to get...

When did your employer apply? If you are from a visa exempt country u just have to arrive at a the border with all your documents, otherwise apply for temporary work visa

I'm from a visa exempt country, so I assume it should be fine to just get the visitor visa at port of entry.
