It all differs in individual situations. I sent in my passport after Decision Made. Had email exchanges with CPP to let them know that I need passport to travel in tight timeline and got confirmation from them. Used Xpresspost from Quebec so Ottawa is only 2 hr by ground.

Saw the tracking number got activated yesterday. Expecting delivery today :) Took me 10 days for the visa to be processed.

That's weird... Did you sent in using Canadapost Xpresspost? Normally it wouldn't take more than 2 business days for them to receive it.

Well at least you know what's going on. Did you tell them your travelling plan? You still have couple days and it only takes one day for the passport to get delivered. So don't worry. You will get it in time :)

I would suggest you contact the office if you still don't see anything today or tomorrow. We have about the same timeline (Mine was delivered on Dec 2, need it to travel on Dec.24)

Send in my passport on Nov 29 still waiting for the tracking to be activated.... I need the passort before Xmas to travel. Had email exchange with an official at CPP and he/she told me the passport should be back before that so finger crossed....

I think Quebec and Ottawa is in the same region (Central) in Canada Post's delivery system. No?

Thanks. I got my PPR on Nov 4 and DM on Nov 11. Having a vacation end of December so it's good to know your timeline. Looks like they are fast in stamping that visa and send PP with CoPR back to you.

ya it really depends on individual circumstances. A friend of mine applied as PEQ Graduate in Sept. 2012, sent in passport Feb. 2013, and landed in Mar. 2013.

I haven't sent in my passport yet. I will wait till I come back from my vacation end of November. CIC responded to my email confirming that I will be able to get my passport back within 3 weeks if I use the Canada Post express post National. I guess Regional is okay too since I'm in Quebec.

I got an email from CIC too telling me if i use express post to send in passport, I should be able to get it back with CoPR within 3 weeks :)
