Thanks! I submitted the documents in-person along with my passport. And I did not have medicals (my profession doesn't require it). I got my approval through email yesterday and I should receive all the documents through mail in the next couple of days (hopefully!). Good luck everyone!

Got the approval through email few mins back. Filed my application on Apr 15th (paper-based).

Yeah, as expected they won't let me in.

Can you confirm if the FB post says Apr 14th or 15th. Apr 14th is a Sunday. I applied on Apr 15th and if the email says 15th, I'll have a valid reason to get into the consulate this Wednesday. In the past, they wouldn't let me get into the consulate.

Did you get an email from the consulate in the last couple of days or is that an educated guess?

@waiting4long - I believe you applied on Apr 5th. Was your application paper-based as well? Please keep us posted on your appln status. You are probably the closest after Apr 2nd on this forum, if I'm not wrong.

Yup. I just rolled my eyes and walked away. I was actually surprised that the guys at VAC and this guy at Consulate's gate weren't as rude as the Security guards. I've been going to the Canadian consulate for 5 years now and every time I have to deal with the Security guards, its a pain in the back.
