Thanks :) it changed Tuesday October 28th, which is also the 'issued date' on the COPR. The letter arrived yesterday, Monday the 3rd of November, to Toronto.
For my girlfriend, the letter turned up a week after the 'Decision Made' date. This was from Novia Scotia to Vancouver, so it might be bit quicker if the mailing distance is shorter.
Also changed to DM :D
Yes, COPR will turn up in the post. Or a rejection letter - but very unlikely since you had your RPRF and medical request. No other way of finding out the decision! Take heart, good news is on the way.
Also British, Medical request June 26 and RPRF July 3rd. Nothing since. Did request GCMS notes and passed eligibility. Just waiting for final checks, organized crime etc. Taking a while. According to the notes (if I am reading correctly) the application is meant to be looked at again on October...
You only have 'implied status' as a worker IF you have applied for a work permit or extension of the same type and are waiting for it to come through.
If you have applied for the Bridging Open Work Permit then you may be considered to have 'implied status'. If you have not, and have only...
Just on this bit
I got my experience in Canada at the Canadian office of a US company. My payslips show the US address, doesn't seem to have caused a problem. We were paid in US dollars which ADP then converted into CAD. The work experience was in Canada, I paid tax in Canada etc, it shouldn't...
AFAIK it really just means your application is eligible to be assessed. Your forms are signed, all paperwork is present etc. It means nothing as far as your eligibility under the scheme is concerned.
The work permit is issued because CIC identified a problem with people who were waiting a...
1. I'm not sure, but I imagine you could re-apply immediately, if you wanted to pay the fees etc. However, if your work experience is not eligible the first time, there is little reason to think it would be in round two.
2. Yes.
Waiting for COPR (Visa exempt country)
Medicals June 26th, done and sent
RPRF Request July 3rd, paid and sent
Nothing since then, application 'in process' since June 26
Thanks for this, although they received my medical results over a month ago and status shows 'medical results have been received' and 'in process', so I don't think there is any problem there.
Wondering what kind of timelines people have between RPRF being requested and paid (not paid upfront) and then their status changing to 'decision made' and/or receiving their COPR or PPR...
I was requested RPRF on July 3rd and paid/sent the receipt (now 3 times.... ::)), but have heard nothing...
I'm not questioning the legality. It doesn't say you can't work, but it does say that work experience gained on that kind of work permit is not eligible; there is a distinction between unlawful and ineligible. You graduated, but you were still working under your off campus permit until you got...
Also... I don't know which lawyers you spoke to, but maybe those others got lucky, according to cic.gc.ca:
Who cannot apply for permanent residence under the Canadian Experience Class?
The Canadian Experience Class is for people who already have skilled work experience in Canada.
You cannot...
