Lawyer or Do it on Our Own?

IMHO, if you can afford it; I would go for the lawyer. Since they are more familiar on how to handle complex cases and how to best represent them. As earlier posted it is a matter of personal choice. If turning back time was an option, I would have gotten a lawyer's services since I was RQ'd...

Oath Timeline after test at Vancouver Office :)

Hi, I was also Pre-test RQ. Based on the reports coming from the forum (this site) it seems like the average time is around 2 months starting Jan 2014. But seeing that we are part of the RQ group, we might have to wait longer. I have heard people getting it 3 to 6 months after their exam...

RQ stands for residence questionnaire. It is a document they send to citizenship applicants when they want more evidence of actual residence within Canada.

I would call them as soon as I can so that they know that you have not received your invitation letter yet. In any event, I know of people that were instructed to go to the exam without a letter and just inform the staff that you were scheduled but did not receive your letter. Hope this helps

Missed schedule to write a citizenship test, just found out!

Friend of mine missed his test because they sent the invitation to the wrong address. So called CIC and informed him. I think he was called two months after they receive his letter indicating that it was not his fault.

How long before PR Renewal can be seen on CAS

Thanks asbereth, I was under the impression that they would state application received on CAS even though they haven't opened it. So if I read it correctly they would update my case status once CIC gets to the date when they received my application? thanks!
