LA Passport Turn Around Time

I am really really surprised!! Although the approval took time, the stamping in LA was super quick! Online application - 5/3/2013 Request to send PP - 5/28/2013 Passport received by LA - 6/4/2013 (sent it on 6/3) PP received - 6/7/2013

May 3rd Visa help

We received the Passport request today and our travel is on sunday. I dont think we have enough time to send the Passport and wait. Has anyone gone in person to the Visa office in LA for the stamp? What do you all advise?
