got my Pr card Today....Yayyyyyyyyy..... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D 70 days in total........

69 days will be completed today..and still no PR card in mail...gotta call tomorrow CIC.....let's see what happens

@ Screech: Congrats on your wife's landing....and on the SIN too. ;D I am still hesitating to go to a Service Canada for the permanent SIN without my Pr Card. I will try this week maybe to get the permanent SIN with my COPR.

Thanks Screech. It's just annoying to wait for permanent SIN no that long. My temporary SIN expires on 28th July next month. Hope that, I get my PR card before that.

Everything went smoothly today. 3 questions as usual.... And the agent told me to wait for the PR card to apply for SIN. Has anyone in Montreal tried to apply for SIN without PR card, please? All the best everyone!!!!! :)

I applied for GCSM notes on April 19th and received it on May 14. I also noticed that my DM was before than that.

Call the RAMQ and explain them your situation. They will be able to give you solution for sure.

@ Screech 339: 1 question I would ask is why Canadians/PRs can't sponsor their siblings to Canada. Sponsors are still responsible for their sibling's welfare, no different from being responsible for their parents. In fact, siblings are more likely to be able to contribute to Canada workforce...

@ Loops: You go directly to CIC website and the instructions are there under the "make a payemnt" part... Yes, I thought the same that it was already paid but it is something different, and also, it doesnt indicate in the DM letter, but send a copy to CIC after you do the payemnt, I didnt know...
