When you do a name change in Canada, you do it through the provincial government. Normally you do it at the Access Nova Scotia for NS and Service New Brunswick for NB provinces. You need to visit the office in person and apply for a legal name change. They will issue a name change document which...
Yes, you can do it. Yes, you need to submit all the supporting documents.
I did a name change after submitting my citizenship application and it was fine. The rule of thumb is that earlier the better.
I traveled few times too. Other than that, I do not know any other reasons for my RQ. I am also still collecting documents. Its too much. I am hoping to submit by end of June. Do you live in Halifax? I live in Halifax.
I guess you need to submit a new application form. Call CIC and the call center agents will be able to help you out.
Did you submit all the language evidence translated? You need to submit the evidences translated either in English or French.
I am sorry to hear that but lets support each here.
Me timeline is
Application Date: Dec - 05 - 2012
In Process: February - 20 - 2013
RQ Received: April - 30 - 2013.
Its so frustrating but what to do. We have to deal with it.
Thank you so much all!
I am not trying to lie to CIC. I want to be brutally honest with them. The reason why I ask this question is my wife was in another country for sometime and the only she came to Canada. So I need to write my wife's name twice and specify her stay. Little confused there.
Its always better to inform CIC about your address change and they will decided what to do. Its highly not recommended to lie or hide any changes from CIC.
All the best!
Hello,
How to answer the questions 10 & 11 in the RQ. After I got married, my wife was in another Country for some time before she came to Canada. How to indicate this in the RQ.
The same confusion in answering in question 12 also.
thank you in advance.

I totally agree with nguyentu2001 & andriy155. You dont have to worry about your citizenship application at all. Dont be afraid. You are entitled to get this benefit. There is no statement saying that it would affect citizenship application. Its actually a good proof for your presence in Canada.
I am so sorry about your situation. File a complaint with Canada post and see how it goes.
When you sent your application package to Sydney, did you have it signed by someone in Sydney? Canadapost offers that option right? If somebody has signed then thats an evidence that CIC indeed received...
