Just updated my profile to show the timeline on the left. Did not get my passport back yet. It has been less than two weeks though. Someone else on this forum (I think it was inquiry001) received passport back in 3 weeks, so I'm hoping for the same. Will post when I get it back.

In my case it took just under 3 weeks from medicals submitted via emedical to passport request. Good luck!

I did not receive such an email. For me the next communication was the medical request. So I think there's no need to panic if you don't get an acknowledgement of receipt, just make sure you always get an auto-response, which indicates that your email got delivered.
