Anyone know how long PR cards are taking to be sent out. I know the website says 36 calendar days but I have been waiting 12 weeks now and no sign of it. Is this normal or should I try to contact them to see where it is? How long did everyone else's take?

He came back and said CIC informed him my application was approved on August 7th and that CIC will contact me with 'landing information' in the next 4-6 weeks. My ecas status also changed to Decision...

That is good news Lydia, congrats! Hopefully you will receive correspondence from CIC soon, please let us know when you do. I have the same timeline as you and being Australian am from a visa exempt country as well. I contacted my MP back in April and all he could do was give me the same status...

I dont think so, as you are from a Visa exempt country I think you only need to send a copy of your passport.

Thanks Lydia, that's a relief. I dont want to be without my passport for what looks like at least a month. I am also hoping to do some travelling during the summer and will need it. No PPR yet so wont be sending yet but hoping soon. Fingers crossed for all of us!

Hey Guys, I have read in a few other forums that if you are from a visa exempt country (I'm from Australia) you do not have to send your original passport just a copy of it. Does anyone know if this is true? Or is this the new system and becasue we applied over a year ago we follow the old system?

A little progress for me....my ecas status has now changed to "In Progress" and "We started processing your application on April 22nd" So I guess that means someone has at least picked up my file right? Anyone heard of how long after this you would get a PPR? My timeline is as follows...
