Hello there, congratulations to everyone who received visa approvals. Just letting you guys know that it takes 3 days for CEM (thru VFS Services) to return passport with visa stamp. We sent ours on Feb. 16th and got stamped passport after 3 days.

We left that part blank when my husband and I filed our application.

Sorry to bother you again guys, but I have a question. For those who sent their passports to CEM for visa stamping thru VFS services. How long did you have to wait till you get your passports back? This is for those who received a call from the embassy that their visa is ready for issuance and...

thank you to the person who started this thread. I literally followed every detail of her post, though our application package was not as thick as it was supposed to be, we got Decision Made and Passport Request after a little over 8 months. My husband and I went into "work mode" for 3 months...

we did get the medical done right away (upfront as what they call it) and included it together with our application package

There should be an instruction from the PPR letter on how to send your passport and other requirements. In the case of my husband, a CEM call center agent had given him an option to either send his passport to Manila VO (since that's his assigned visa office) or get it stamped at Canadian...

no, we didn't inform them about his medical's expiration.

UPDATE: May 2015 applicant-my husband (currently working in Riyadh), received a phone call from Canadian Embassy Manila informing him that his permanent resident visa is ready for issuance, he was asked if he could land before April 8th before his medical's expiration, so now we're in a rush to...

I know right? I have read that too from Guide 3911 that's why we decided to do the Abu Dhabi visa office requirement. My husband is working in Saudi Arabia for over 6 years already. And we got really surprised to find out that his application was sent to Manila.

It makes me nervous though coz I've said, we prepared the application package according to Abu Dhabi visa office requirement and now it was sent to Manila office. Anybody who went through the same experience? pls enlighten me :( :(

I received SA today via email, my husband's application package was sent to Manila office instead of Abu Dhabi. I thought it was pretty much clear in the application kit that wherever the country of residence is, it should go to the nearest visa office. My husband's home country is Philippines...

it happened to to me as well, I sent mine on May 7. By that time CIC updated their form, my application package was already sent ::)

count me in this thread, I just submitted our application package with my husband yesterday, May 7, 2015. ;D The two-month paper work is done, now it's time to join the waiting game ;D

not sure about that, you supposed to include the checklist though
