I could be wrong but I think "conjugal partner" only works if the two of you have a reason why you can't be together. Being unable to obtain a visa or get married in a certain country, what have you. I would think a US/Canada couple would have a very hard time proving conjugal partner status.

She'll be coming from VA, USA so she'll be getting her medical done there. It's just too bad we didn't finally make our decision until the day before she left to go back to the US or we could have saved a bunch of money doing it here in SK apparently :(

Kind of the other way around on this one but last year I went to the US to stay with my wife for 6 months and brought my Canadian licensed car with me and had absolutely no issues... but I don't know how it would work the other way around. I don't see why you'd have any issues honestly.
