Thanks, I hope they just return it from Sydney at some point. I tried to cancel the delivery and redirect to sender, but Canada Post doesn't have this feature (like UPS, for example).

Does anyone know what happens with the application fee if the application is missing information and is returned? Is the fee still valid and can be re-attached to a new application that has all the required details filled in?

For all those who sent their applications today oct 11 2017 what mistakes did you make?

Checked "Yes" for homemaker/unemployed, but left the following table empty. Of course, big mistake not reading carefully the instructions, but it seemed logical at the time that the location address would be the same one I wrote in the previous question. Anyway, I know it's almost certain that...

well, don't you remember what kind of test did you do? Here in Calgary, the physical is done at the doctors office, then you have to go to a separate location for x-rays, and a third location for blood test. These were in the same building, but still not all done in doctors office.

Does anyone know if there will be changes to CEC applicants that are international graduates? Does the required work experience stay the same at 12 months or reduce to 6 months?

Actually you can claim at least a part of the medical exam expenses on your employers extended health insurance. Of course it depends on what are you covered for. For example, my provider is Green Shield. I submitted three receipts to them: general physical exam, lab tests, x-ray exam. The...

    CLB AND IELTS

Also regarding scoring an 8. You mean an 8 on CLB scale, right? Because this is how I understand that table: each IELTS point value has a corresponding CLB value. In which case a CLB 8 is actualy a 6.5 or better in Speaking/Reading/Writing OR a 7.5 or better in Listening. And he has got that...

    CLB AND IELTS

so I'm looking at that table, and under Speaking it shows that 5.5 equals CLB 6. Is this correct?

    CLB AND IELTS

are you sure he has to re-take the test? Perhaps I'm reading the results wrong, but it looks like he is good to apply. Wouldn't his CLB corresponding result look like this: Listening 8 Reading 7 Writing 8 Speaking 6 This is within the requirements for the second situation: "6 for any one of the...

just to be more precise, when we are talking about 12 months, it's for the international graduates ONLY. I assumed shells is a graduate. I am not talking about those who came to Canada on a work permit.

Landing formalities at the Alberta/Montana border

Both Carway and Coutts are almost same distance from Lethbridge, just check Google Maps :) But from what I've read before most of the people from Lethbridge were driving to Coutts, not Carway, because it's a nicer road. If you can not wait till December 11, then of course you have the option to...

    QUESTION: CEC Full time hours

Paid vacation is just like working hours. You were continuously employed for 12 months, and that's one of the important things that your reference letter should say. It's not like you took a non paid leave, or even finished your employment with the company and were in between jobs.

Landing formalities at the Alberta/Montana border

Carway is the name of the actual border crossing, so get there, go across, tell the US guys that you are doing a landing and they will explain everything and you'll continue the formalities on the Canada side. I haven't done this step yet, just researched ahead. From what I understand the trip...

Landing formalities at the Alberta/Montana border

you didn't say where are you at the moment, but check if Carway is closer to you than Coutts. There are a lot of people who land at the Carway border crossing.

    Medical examination

Why is that? Lots of people do it ahead of time. The results rarely get lost. Each situation is different and I think it's worth doing in some cases. For example if the wife gets pregnant before the medicals request and can't do the x-rays, the process would be delayed for another 9 months or...
