Being in Canada already is not the key. I applied for a PR via Vienna in April 2013, moved to Canada in May 2014 (got Work Visa using a support letter from BC Provincial Nominee Program). The MR has been received 25th of Nov 2014/passed few days later. And no updates/requests since that time...

It looks like the bunch of cases were found by Austrian CIC while cleaning out the shelves - I got the Med Exam Request today as well. Was awaiting since April 2013 - PNP stream.

I've just updated them with my newborn son details - I hope that will push the case a bit. Also, the "normal" time for Vienna is 19 months. So I have no formal reasons to complain.

Unbelievable. We have no MR since June 2013, when our case was delivered to Vienna. It's definitely not the First In - First Out scheme :(
