Yes we got 10 year validity passports made for both of them

They are applying to extend their Super visa. They are currently in Canada and would like to extend their current super visa that expires on Jan 1 2018.

My parents are with me in Canada on Super Visa. Their passport with their visa was valid till 2018 end and the visa its self is until 1 Jan 2018. I am applying for their visas. I am not clear if they will need to exit Canada to get their visas stamped on their passports? Can anyone clarify?

To extend my parents' stay in Canada do I need to extend the application or reapply?

My parents are on a Super Visa which expires in January 2018. I am looking for advice on my options for renewal (or reapplication). So: 1) Can I apply for an extension? 2) Do I re-apply from scratch? 3) Do they have to leave the country to apply or can they apply from Canada? Please advise.

So if the period starts August 2012 it means that they will not count August 2012 - December 2012?

So those who complete their 3 years before June/July 2015 are fine What about those who end their 3 year term by August 2015? Any idea?

Nothing like that, but bumping up your test date, knowing from experience what route the test takes and what mistakes to watch out for etc. In the end passing the test is up to your driving skills.

You may need to buy your ninth grader a scientific calculator but a laptop or a tablet are not required.
