    CIC just implemented new rules to allow those applying inland to get a work permit at the start. This was not the case when we applied, but he get his after AIP. I suspect most who apply inland are like us, already living in Canada and not wanting the risk of having to leave.

    There were concerns about him being able to remain in country with me and as his status was expired, only inland allowed him to stay while we waited. When does the processing time start counting, when they received the application, or when they sent me notice that they received it?
