    If it is more than 30 days of your application. Go in person, fill the urgent processing application form... collect your passport same day with\without visa. There is a backlog in their mailing process. Looks like the number of passport applications sent out is only a handful each day.

    @dino14- It is a learning process. If you had submitted it on time. you would have gotten the forms back. Don't worry next time.. go through the forum, have all documents in place and apply 2 months ahead of your travel.

    @dino14- Submit the form with a cover letter and proof of your travel. Ask the visa officer If it will take more than a day to process, if so withdraw your application. If they can process it by 1 day then good for you.

    Don't believe the website... I walked into NYC's Canadian consulate to submit my application. However, If you have already sent your documents, appearing in person will not help. Mail in applications usually take more than 2 to 3 weeks to get a nod.

    Where to take PR card photos?

    Get it from people who specialize in the visa for that country.. If in New york I get it from "The Pix" at 49 and 3rd ave. They take photos specifically for canadian visas. Its 15$ but worth more than taking a 8$ photo at walgreens or other so called make shift photo center.
