Traveling without Canadian Passport, but with a visa-exempt passport after Oath – UPDATE

Hi everyone, I'm gonna leave this here for your reference. I'm sure some of you will need such information. My wife had a plane ticket to the US for the holidays before even getting a date for the citizenship oath. Then, we got the date 4 days before her trip. I did some research and found out...

Traveling to the US with a non-Canadian passport & VISA after oath question

Oh ok! I think there might a catch though. My US visa says "permanent resident of Canada". I obtained it some years ago as a PR. I don't think they would have a flag or anything in their system saying something like "ding ding, this person has just become a citizen of Canada". I guess I'll have...

Traveling to the US with a non-Canadian passport & VISA after oath question

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has ever entered the US after their oath ceremony, but, using their non-Canadian passport (considering that your first country lets you have dual citizenship) and a valid VISA in it? Btw, I've been in a very tight schedule and couldn't apply for an urgent Canadian...

Passport question: What is considered urgent pick-up, by end of next business day?

Hi there, Has anyone applied for a passport after receiving the e-certificate in an urgent matter? I would assume that personal traveling purposes–holidays–would not be accepted as urgent. Thoughts? Experiences? Thanks

Question about the oath, traveling, and coming back with a special authorization

Hence why my question. You probably don't know what I'm talking about. The question I'm asking is not for Canadian-American citizens. According to the Canada website, people with dual citizenship (excluding Americans), and with a passport from a visa-exempt country, can apply to a special...

Special Authorization - Travelling after the oath

Oh that's nice. My oath is tomorrow. My trip is on the 27th and coming back in the first week of January. I also asked to receive an e-certificate rather than a physical copy–apparently it takes 2-5 business days to get. I don't think a trip to celebrate the holidays could be used/applied for...

Special Authorization - Travelling after the oath

Hello there! I have not experienced this. I'm actually on the same boat as you. I have travel plans days after my upcoming oath and considering to apply for the special authorization once I'm abroad. Have you done it yet? If yes, how was your return?

I think you need 6.0 minimum on all components. On another topic, I got AOR on March 15 but haven't received a letter requesting the Constancia de Antecedentes Registrales. Is this normal? Thanks
