Well they will need to provide plane ticket and hotel reservation as proof for their visa application. Is it wise to purchase all of this, if it's possible they do not get their visa in time, and are denied entry to the country? Huge waste of money?

Thanks, but would it be wise to wait until the strike is over? Or just submit it now? They are quite nervous about getting their passport lost amongst all the other stalled applications? Do they still process during the strike? Just slowly? Or has all processing stopped?
