I don't believe they ask for Finger Prints in most cases. If you look at the submissions on this forum for March applicants, Finger Prints were requested in less than 20 out of over 130 applications. That's less than in 15% of the cases.

If your son was younger than 18 at the time of the application, he will not get a test invite as he would not be required to be tested.

Regarding photo ID for your kids, you can use a copy of the biographical page of a passport as photo ID. I suggest you read the instructions for completing the application for minors here...

Correct! Unless you spent 183 days in a row you don't need a police certificate. I spent more than 183 days in another country during my 4 year period but not consecutively, so thanks to the revised guideline, I didn't need to submit a police certificate.

It will still show in process after you receive test invite. You need to click on the status to see if the test invite has been sent.

You don’t have to apply for a renewal of your PR card unless you think you’re going to be out of the country. My family had theirs expire and didn’t get called for the test until a few months later. However you’ll still need to show your expired cards when you go there.

It’s unlikely that this is for the test. For a test it would say a notice was sent to you on date to write citizenship test on date.

It would be very unusual for you to need to do something within 3 weeks of AOR based on the experience of members here. I would go for it.

I got a few errors from too when I tried to open the sheet but after giving it a few minutes, it did open.

You may want to call them. I see somebody called them for the same thing and got the email a couple of days later.
