@Naavy100 I made 3 mistakes still I got my AOR in 72 days.I think that sometimes they just overlook if the mistake is minor.

I got my AOR yesterday and today I asked for a refund.The Visa office said I should contact CIO.CIO said I should contact Visa office.I have contacted both.Infact,I am not sure how to contact CIO office.By email?

I did apply under NOC 4131.I copied all the stuff from the website,I mean the duties,and pasted it on the form.I got my AOR yesterday based on the same NOC and experience.I guess teachers are in demand in Canada.I withdrew my application just today.

Small correction: HK Visa office & CIO,Nova Scotia. Wonder if they ever reply to emails pertaining to refund!

NOC 4131 I applied under this category and got AOR yesterday.Copied all the duties from the site and pasted it on the form. Today I wrote to HK Visa office and Canadian Consulate,HK asking for refund. ;D

Because of this PCC issue,I have just written to the Canadian Consulate in HK,asking for a refund.I got my AOR yesterday.Also it requires too much of paper work i.e notarized etc..so I gave up but no regrets. I think,as Ankit mentioned,you have to pay the fees twice: CIO: CAD 550 VO : CAD 550

I think you need to pay the amount when you lodge the application with the visa office. http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/hong_kong/assets/pdfs/FEESCHEDULE.pdf CAD 550 per person.Right?

Canpr,Thanks. I think if you are applying to the visa office you must pay CAD 550,the same amount you paid to CIO.

By the way,do you have to pay the fees just once or twice?I have paid to CIO,NS. Do you have to pay again to the visa office?Members,please shed some light.Thanks,

because I cannot obtain PCCs from all those nations.It takes a lot of time and contains language barriers too.Try getting a PCC from mongolia!!Cheers!

CANPR,thanks a ton.I shall wait for my AOR and then write to CC in HK.I am withdrawing because I have lived in many countries and cannot provide them with PCCs.Some of the countries are Poland,Mongolia,Russia etc where they do not speak or write English and it is impossible for me to get PCCs...

Does anyone know how to claim a refund?My card was charged today and I expect to get the AOR in a few days but I do not want to pursue this any further.Do I have to wait till I get AOR or can I just mail them?Thanks.
