Hi, Been doing some research and talked to U.S. immigration yesterday. They told me that my fiance could come to the states and marry, without a fiance visa, as long as he was not wanting to reside here, and he would not need any other type of 'added' visa. It is not against the law to travel...

I understand that,..why do they say however that you cannot come there with the 'intent' to get married, in the first place? I was told that, before. There is no fiance' visa for Canada, and you must be married in order to apply for sponsorship/and PR. I was told directly that you cannot come...

If there is no timeframe, what law holds up for them to have anything against it to look down on? This is why this is so confusing.
