Unfortunately that's the million dollar question, the answer is how long is a piece of string? Each visa office has different processing times. If your application is in process with a date when they started processing then I would say 4 months from that date or maybe less. Regards Andrew

Hi all, Just wanted to let you know that I received PPR email from London today. We landed in Canada last wed with a 6 month visitor record, looks like we will not need 6 months. All that is left is a trip to the US border to activate COPR :D Good luck to all Regards Andrew

Nothing to report from me, we had medicals 8 weeks ago, e-cas changed to medicals received on 14 June, waiting for a Decision to be made and hopefully PPR. Regards Andrew

You become tax resident the day you activate your COPR. You will as a new PR, get some foreign tax credits. You should insert the date you became PR on your first newcomers tax return. All world income after this date will be taxed in Canada. Regards Andrew

If you are from a visa exempt country, you will be asked to send them a copy of every page of your and your dependants passports. Regards Andrew

E-cas is not always updated, so just send what they are asking for. Regards Andrew

ILETS is not required if you are applying under Skilled NOC A, B or 0. For any other occupation that is not skilled, then you will require ILETS. Regards Andrew
