I'm sponsoring my husband who's Korean. I've lived in Korea for over 4 years. He is in the process of obtaining his criminal record check. Do I need one for Korea too since I've lived here longer than 6 months?

Okay so some people have done it themselves and then on the website it says it must be a certified and notarized. My husband belongs to a site called Couple Canada and they are urging him that it's okay to send the forms without a professional translation. He says it's fine. But my thinking...
