    Winnipeg - 2017 Citizenship Applicants

Hi everyone! We became Canadian citizens after 7 years. We attended our ceremony at the VIA station - it was pretty easy to find the room. Once you get there, someone will direct any accompanying guests to the room and applicants to a line where we had our documents checked. They will take...

28 days between DM and receiving the letter. It's less than two weeks between receiving the letter and the oath. Is there enough time to study once the test is booked?

This is very weird. As long as I know, IRCC sends you an invitation with a test date, time and place. You cannot "book" a time. Anyway, a couple days is more than enough to read and re-read the booklet, do the exercises and practice on citizenshipcounts.ca.

    Winnipeg - 2017 Citizenship Applicants

I also called this morning to find what is going on. The agent checked my file and said everything is good and positively processed, and that although IRCC has up to an year to process, I should receive an invitation for the oath very soon. She also mentioned that as soon as they mail the...

    Winnipeg - 2017 Citizenship Applicants

Nothing yet. I honestly don't know why the interview officer says "you will receive a letter in about two weeks" when they clearly don't do that. It just adds up to the anxiety.

    Nexus Card Impact

During my interview (after citizenship test) the officer tried to match some of my listed trips with stamps in the passport. She couldn't find some of the stamps, questioned me and I explained I used my Nexus card. She then asked for it during the interview, and took a copy as well, even though...

    Nexus Card Impact

I had 34 trips in the relevant period and I had no further questioning or request for explanation. The process was delayed checking with CBSA though.

    Winnipeg - 2017 Citizenship Applicants

Nothing yet. I was hoping to receive my oath scheduling to book some vacations, but my status changed to DM a week ago and I received nothing yet.

    Nexus Card Impact

I applied with a Nexus card, it made no difference. Make sure to include a copy of your Nexus card as it is considered a "travel document". If only, it makes it worse if you have frequent travels. Some people that had their interview at the same time/after than I did had their status changed to...

    Winnipeg - 2017 Citizenship Applicants

Hi research-scientist. Did anything change for your status? I've been told the same and I'm waiting since July 27th. I was told it would take "a couple days", but it has been almost 4 weeks now and no update and no requests to clarify anything.

    Winnipeg - 2017 Citizenship Applicants

I didn't forget any trips - As far as I'm concerned the only two mistakes were those that I've entered Canada shortly after midnight (While commencing my trip on the previous day). Total number of trips was 31. Most of trips lasted 1-3 days, saving for longer vacation trips and one longer...

    Winnipeg - 2017 Citizenship Applicants

Nothing changed as of Friday. I just realized I made two minor mistakes on my physical presence list. for two trips I entered in Canada shortly after midnight, so i should've used the next day's date on the calculator. And I didn't send with much cushion as well - 1465 days. I hope this doesn't...

    Winnipeg - 2017 Citizenship Applicants

I just finished the test today, and I found it pretty straightforward. 20/20. Reading Discover Canada and training the questions on those websites like citizenshipcounts.ca and yourlibrary.ca was more than enough for a pass. We had the interview, only questions were regarding what I was doing...
