Frankinto can you let me know when you receive your COPR and or if ecas gets updated to reflect that COPR was mailed out? Also, if anyone can let me know if ecas gets updated to state that COPR was mailed out kindly let me know.

For those who have received COPR, was there an update on ecas stating the COPR was mailed out? My wife moved in October and after numerous emails and faxes they finally changed her address yesterday. PPR was requested February 06, 2013. Just hoping it was mailed out after the update.

Does the COPR get mailed to the sponsor or applicant?

My wife got her passport request on February 6th!!!

Thanks Kfair001. It's a little harder to get tons of evidence for us as we live separately since she is unable to work here. Hopefully everything we submitted was sufficient.

Emily_Anya - Was your sponsorship common law or spousal? Just want to get an idea if maybe common law gets processed faster than spousal.

I'm a July applicant and ours still says application received and it's the date the application submitted as opposed to the date the sponsor was approved.

I am sponsoring my wife from the US and when I log into ecas her maiden name shows up as opposed to her new last name. Is that common or? Also, congrats kfair001

Thanks computergeek. Is the processing time now 12 months? That's what it says for Detroit? Also in the letter they mentioned my wife's maiden name not her married name. Was there a reason they did that?

So we got an email saying the sponsor assessment is cleared and that the file has been transferred to Ottawa. I thought after the sponsor assessment the file goes to the visa office? Why did it go to Ottawa?

That's weird how the august applications are being processed ahead of July. The site says they are working on applications received on July 12, 2012
