When I received my open work permit, it looks like a visa. No interview or stamp on my passport. But I applied my SIN card right away at the same day I received my work permit.. ;D (the lady there told me it took 2-3 weeks for the card arrival.) I think we need SIN to land a job..

Hi, I applied inland for Quebec along with open work permit. They received my application on August 24, 2009. Started to process on Oct 5, 2009. Decision made on March 24, 2010 was shown on Ecas. And around 8 days later, I received a letter (AIP+Decision Made) and open work permit together...
