I am sorry It doesn't say about permit but to update your status if there's any changes. My last permit was student permit, i took school to remain in Canada while I am waiting my application.

It does says in AOR you need to update your status. I got my medical request 2 days after I updated my permit.

You should email to immigration to follow up. It is supposed to be maximum 90 days from AOR email
