You misunderstood me.... I was not referring to anything illegal. I meant that I was told that one can LEGALLY apply for a work permit and the grounds for CIC approving the work permit would be if someones CEC application is being processed - ie as opposed to having an LMO etc I wanted to know...

I have heard different opinions about this. Some people are of the opinion that its possible to get an open work permit without LMO or anything like that on the grounds that one is applying for a CEC. They also said that this is only possible once the CEC application has reached a certain stage...

Another early March applicant still waiting for a medical.... Did anyone receive anything else since they applied, other than confirmation that their application was received? Thats all I have heard from them. Is anyone doing their medical before actually being told to do it? I would imagine...
