    Importer in CBSA B4 form

Hallo again, I'm going to land in Canada in about two weeks time and I am just starting to fill out b4 and b4a for the CSBA. Are there any restrictions on the importer's name on the form? For example, does it have to be the principal applicant only or can or should the dependants have their own...

Landing: Time limit on "Goods to follow"?

Thank you. I actually found the same page from the CBSA myself. Unfortunately, it doesn't really tell me about any additional duties and on what kind of items to expect them.

Landing: Time limit on "Goods to follow"?

Two follow-up questions: 1. Is there any kind of penalty for putting item on your "Goods to Follow" list but then never bringing them in? When I first land, I can't be sure yet what goods (especially larger items like furniture, computers, Hi-Fi equipment & -loudspeakers etc.) I'd eventually...

    GET AMAILING ADDRESS

No, I can't be sure, I haven't tried them yet. I am actually looking for a service in NS. So far, it doesn't look like I'm going to find one though. Whatever service (if any) I decide on using in the end, I am planning to test it out before actually giving that address to the IO on landing.

    IELTS EXAM

From the IELTS web page: "You’ll receive your results just 13 days after the test." If you took the test April 17th, it has only been 12 days. Check again tomorrow night after the end of the business day in the UK.

Affordable and reliable mail forwarding service in Nova Scotia?

Does anybody know of a affordable and reliable mail forwarding service that offers street addresses in Nova Scotia? I found several companies offering addresses in Toronto or Vancouver, but none so far in Nova Scotia. I want to maintain a postal address in Canada after I land until I settle in...

Landing: Time limit on "Goods to follow"?

As many new immigrants to Canada, I plan to stay for short time only after "landing" in Canada, go back to my current home country for now, and later return to settle in Canada permanently. I've started to prepare the documents for the CBSA (b4 and b4a forms) and I am wondering if there is a...

AOR not Received, DD en-cashed 4 weeks Before.

As an applicant whose AOR e-mail from the CIO got lost and who learned about the AOR 9 days before the end of the deadline by sheer dumb luck, here's my 2 cents: After your cheque has been cashed, start gathering the required documents, especially the ones that may take some time to obtain...

Berlin applicants & experts plz help !!!!

It is quite possible that his case will be finalized before November. I just went through the process and it took less than 6 months from the date I sent all the required docs. However, you have some leeway. You can wait till shortly before the deadlines the embassy sets for sending the...

    Proof of 'Landing Funds" >>>

I'm planning to land in June. I was wondering if a certified cheque drawn on a Canadian bank would also work as PoF. I'm talking about the same kind of cheque you can sent to the Central Intake Office in Sydney, NS when first applying. Also thinking about Travellers Cheques. According to the...

    2009 Berlin applicants,

Hello again, just received my visa last week. I'm pleasently surprised about the processing time in Berlin, less than 6 months for stage 2. If that darn AOR e-mail from Sydney hadn't gotten lost, I'd probably would have completed the entire process in less than 9 months.

Maximum wait time for File No. from Sydney, NS

If you have ALL the required supporting documents available NOW, you can try to go IN PERSON to your visa office IMMEDIATELY (like today) and ask if they can still accept your application. When I went to my visa office on the very last day of my 120 day deadline by my calculations, they told me...

    SENIORS PLS. GUIDE ME!

I'm sorry, but do you actually WANT to live in Canada? Please keep in mind that the number of people chosen for immigration each year is limited. So if you don't really want to go to Canada, it would be great if you kept your spot open to people who do.

Maximum wait time for File No. from Sydney, NS

No, an automated system should pick up almost immediately and ask you if you prefer service in English or French. Did you call during Canadian business hours? "Call centre agents are available Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., your local time." Your local time probably means the time zone of...
