    File U.S. Income Tax

Thank you, we may be able to do it ourselves then......if the U.S. is the only country that wants their non-residing citizens to file with IRS, they should do something to ensure that this isn't a large financial burden. BIG BROTHER! :'(

    File U.S. Income Tax

Hi everyone, my husband is now a legal resident of Canada, he has to file his U.S. income tax as well as Canadian. The cost at H&R Block is almost $500 for a basic BASIC return, this is just their cost for providing this "special" service. Does anybody know a more cost efficient way of doing...

    Border crossings

It's NOT required, but if an IO were to attempt to give you a difficult time, it helps a lot, not many people do this but we have had CBSA tell us it's an excellent idea, we're ALL ABOUT straightforward border crossings.

    Border crossings

Our experience, I am Canadian (wife), living/working in Canada, my husband is American, living/working in U.S. Our crossings are always by land. BE HONEST ABOUT EVERYTHING, don't put yourself in a position where you might have to be less than completely truthful, this can lead to disaster. Our...

USA Citizen confused about processing times/location

Maybe I have misunderstood something, I thought he had to land before his medical expires? They expire end of July, I only act if I'm contacted by CIC? Thank you again, I'm just desperate to avoid any misunderstandings.

    Which POE?

My husband is immigrating to Canada from the U.S. When we finally receive authorization for PR do THEY (CIC) indicate which border he will land at or is it our choice, I live in Ontario. Thanks in advance for the help, Cheers! :)

USA Citizen confused about processing times/location

So in regards to this question, my husband is immigrating to Canada from the U.S. papers are all filed as of Sept. 2013, medicals expire after 1 year, so if the process is taking roughly 15 months.....can we get an extension on the medicals or do we have to get new one done?

    Problem With a Form

Hi Guys, Just finishing up here, I had to leave a spot blank on a form intending to go back and modify it late ( the question was HIS last entry to Canada, and it's ongoing, I couldn't fill that in until this applic. was ready to go), now when I go to that question on the form, its a grey shaded...
