    Some update regarding my case: I mailed my spouse docs to CPP-O due to martial status change. The docs arrived on Apr. 15; my wife got medical exam request on Apr. 19. In short, please do not use my info as reference for days from "passport request" to "visa granted"

    I did the exam about one week after receiving the request. The doctor said the report would be sent to Ottawa after 3-4 business days.

    Yes. I just checked. It is "decision made" now. Yep, but it doesn't come with an exact date. I didn't check my e-cas until receiving the passport request. We received your application for permanent residence on February 13, 2012. We started processing your application on January 31...

    I'm wondering if it is possible to bring the passport to the Ottawa office and stamp the PR visa on site. I heard from a friend that people did this before in the buffalo office.

    That's true... My ecas still shows "we have received your application blah blah blah" even after receiving the medical request. Anyway, no news is good news
