    Hi. Hope it's not too late to answer your question. I'm not so familiar with the public transportation. I was told by my friend, however, you can take a bus to White Rock, and call a cab to get the border. It only costs you around $15 to call a cab.

    We are pretty on the same boat. You are just a couple of weeks behind me. I wasn't required to do criminal check. In terms of what my friend's immigration lawyer said, the criminal check is randomly assigned to applicants. I believe you will get your PPR very soon.

    I paid my PNP application fee when I was required by a provincial immigration officer last year. I was required to pay my federal application fee in the email of PPR. I did a certified cheque, and submitted it along with my passport.

    My Timeline is: Sep 2011 - Submitted NBPNP Application Dec 2011 - Nominated by NB Jan 2012 - Received in CIC Feb 2012 - Got email from CPP-OTTAWA and ME request Feb 2012 - ME done. March 2012 - CIC website: Application Received and ME received August 2012 - PPR Mine is PNP.
