How does one activate the CBB after landing as a PR through spouse sponsorship? Are there documents I should be bringing with me before I move to Canada?

Why? Wouldn't this go under family class?

Hi, What is considered proper Proof of Finances? I can't seem to find any info online. I sponsored my wife and are hoping to move this summer.

My wife received her passport request for spouse sponsorship last week and her CIC account still says they are checking her eligibility and background checks. Doesn't seem like we should be relying on the statuses they provide.

I should have posted my question earlier. We just got an email requesting my wife's passport! My only question is, it says how to send my documents in Canada. What if I'm not in Canada? Do I send it to Tel Aviv?

How often is the online account updated? Do they update it on the spot or once every 24 hours? I still haven't received any communication through the account so I'm not really sure how it works and what to expect.

My wife is Israeli and we're dealing with the embassy in Tel Aviv. I got the sponsor approval on January 20th. We completed the medical as requested on March 13, they were received around a week and a half later. Any other information that can be beneficial?

I was born and raised in Toronto, and am now returning with my wife who will be entering as a permanent resident. We also have two kids, both are Canadian. My question is regarding the 3-month wait for OHIP. Do all of us need to wait, or only my wife being that she's an immigrant?

This is where we're holding now for spouse sponsor - outland. We've done the medical exam, paid the RPRF fee and sent in the police records as requested. My question is, if it says they're still checking whether I'm eligible and doing background checks, why did they send me to the medical exam...

Anyone gone through Tel Aviv recently? My wife recently completed her medical, paid the RPRF and had the police reports sent in. It says in her account that no interview is needed. Any idea how long we can expect to wait?

I am a Canadian citizen sponsoring my wife from Tel Aviv. The checklist says I need passport photos for all those arriving in Canada. Does that include my son and I? My son is also Canadian.

Where do I apply to? The Canadian immigration says to send it to Missisauga, can I send it to Tel Aviv?
