I received my AOR in last week of July, 2009 . After that there is no update. Just ' Received by Visa office'. In the forums also the updates to status - like 'in process' are just 'one-offs' and not a trend. Any comments friends- At least what timelines we should assume. Thanks

You have to pay in CAD even if you are applying from US. You can get it from your Bank (the cheque) although they would charge you some oversees cheque fees ( 30-50 dollars)

I also reviwed couple of forums and it seems New Delhi is definately faster than Buffalo at present. So considering the risks, I think you should apply from New Delhi. Dont forget to collect your state and FBI PCC before you leave US. Also these certificates should not be less than 3 months old...
