In case if you got approval in principal after applying for PR/OWP under the LCP (first stage of approval), you don't need to do medical exam, only your dependents have to do it.

I am from the same country))) I have exactly the same sentence in my email, but we don't need to pass medical, it's for dependents + they will submit LC2 kit (it means background check) + police clearance. If you are not sure, call agents and ask.
