Thanks for the information, so a sponsor getting married or having kids for that matter would affect their current approval and they would need to re-qualify for LICO each time their family status changes? Just curious after you have been approved as a sponsor what is the average processing...

If you get approved as a sponsor for your dad, and you get married shortly there after, would you need to go through another approval process because your family status changed from single to married? Would this cause a delay in the timeline

Yeah figured as much well hopefully the visa plan works out just extend as much as we can, or perhaps try the multiple visa option, not sure how that works though. I have posted about the Multiple Entry visa option it seems to be a mystery, no response yet

Have you heard anything back from CIC in regards your application to sponsor your parents? have they evaluated you as a sponsor? we havent heard anything but the letter of acknowledgement since we applied to sponsor in Feb 2009; guess should have applied like 2005 if I knew it would take this long

Thanks Siouxie, how long can a parent stay to assist a daughter with child care? I think as a visitor a parent could keep extending, however not sure if they can extend their stay if they are helping with child care? or am I wrong about this? It is sad that immigrants can not hire their parents...

I find this situation similar to mine , just wondering if submitting an application for humanitarian consideration will void the sponsorship application for the parents that was previously submitted? Also if the application for humanitarian consideration was rejected it can not be appealed...
