I called BLS and they confirmed that that there is no need for Apostille/ authentication of canada issued documents. So I am applying with just self attesting the documents. Hope that helps.

I know I have never posted in this forum before. That's doesn't mean I haven't from time to time read the posts here to have an idea on the pace at which the applications are being processed. The timelines in this forum has been much better indicative of what is going on then CIC website updates...
