    PR's Name change question

Thanks!! Can I wait to change the PR card until I have a new passport to cease those possible issues or do I have to change all documents at the same time?

    PR's Name change question

Hi All, I've landed last year and am about to get married and got a couple of questions that so far no one was able to answer. Am I allowed to adapt my new last name, right after marriage, and have my Canadian documents such as Driver's license, bank cards, SIN, etc changed. Or will I have to...

All January and February 2012 Applicants

Just landed in Coutts. Took about 15-20 min. Very easy process, nice officer, little cheeky in the beginning but overall very nice and helpful. Good luck to all those who are still waiting and thanks to everyone on this forum. :)

Shoot, picked up my CoPR at my lawyers office today and it lists an incorrect country as to which country issued my passport. Everything else, name, dob, citizenship, passport number, etc. is correct though. According to my lawyer I will still be able to land this weekend and only need to make...

    I need help landing

You can land at Del Bonita (Hwy 62) if you do it before 6 pm or Coutts (Hwy 4) which is 24 hours. There are more border crossings but they either don't have immigration services, or only on specific dates/times. Alternatively you can make an appointment inland to get your stamp and become an...

OK, I can't flagpole it just yet :-[ Gotta send a photocopy of my passport, 2 photos and RPRF to Detroit before I can flagpole it. Then they'll issue another letter that will allow me to land, which apparently takes about a month. Really hope to get it quicker than that, but we'll see...

    July 2012 PR Applications

It's likely to go from Application received to In Process around the time they'll send you the medical request. ECAS updating is not always quite up to date so, don't worry about it too much!

Re: processing times after medical Well, first it's going to be more waiting, so the same as before the medicals. If you look through the previous posts, from the lucky January applicants who have received their PR, after medicals have been done, it seems to be approx 2 month until the request...

For those that are still going to have their medicals, who are female or applied witha female spouse: Ok here is a possibly slightly awkward piece of information regarding your medical, but I wish I would have been aware of this! Apparently you can not complete your medical if you are...

All January and February 2012 Applicants

Well I haven't made it yet. I'm just at the next milestone. Still have to pass the medical and get their approval, but it's certainly better to know where you are in the process than just waiting and wondering why you don't hear anything. I worked full time in a Skill level B position for...

No, I received the request on a Friday. I just posted my comment here on a weekend. Hope that clarifies that. I don't know if they update anything on weekends, considering that they are government, I would say no they don't, but who knows.

    urgent attention: pls help

Don't worry!! Employment agency assignments count towards your work experience as long as they still fulfill the NOC 0,A & B requirement. The only issue people often have with employment agencies, is that they don't want to write you the reference letter in the format CIC would like it, or if...

    Letter of employment help

You only need letters to proof experience in NOC 0,A or B related positions, to proof that you do have the required experience to be eligible for CEC. Just have your employer write you the letter/s in the format CIC requests on their website and you should be fine.
