    The sentiment is same everywhere. I feel that NDVO would start processing our applications now as the holiday season is over. So, just hold your breath, as it is a matter of a few days now, rather than months or years. Cheers. ;D

    Here's the entire process: Just fill the application form online on the passport website. Choose tatkal instead of normal application. Generate application request receipt. Take it's printout.     They never attach new photos to any passport. I had a similar case. I proactively got the passport of my daughter renewed. If done under the tatkal scheme, new passport is issued within 3 days. Charges are Rs.3000. Hope this information helps.

    You can try 1 of the following 2 methods: 1. Try typing a blank space in the surname column and taking a print. 2. You can put a 'full stop' in the surname column and then give the print command. - Ind2ca

    For DD encashment, ask your banker. He'll tell. Regarding your second query, NDVO encashes all RPRF fees as soon as they receive it. Background checks are still going on. So nothing is certain till you get the VISA in your hand. -Ind2ca

    CONGRATULATIONS KDSTTL, Regarding your queries, Form IMM 0008 is the "Generic Application Form for Canada [IMM 0008] (PDF, 536 KB)" And Yes, you do need to get ANOTHER PCC (Police Clarance Certificate), as every PCC is valid only for a period of 3 months! So your old PCC has already expired...

    NDVO will definitely send your passport back, on their own, for renewal, whenever they do start processing actively on your file.

    13-09-2012 had also come and gone! Now, I presume, the next BF'D in your file must be 13-1-2013. This wait is agonizing! I underwent my medicals in mid-July, 2012. Going by the current trend, do you think there's any hope for getting visa issued this year?

    As per my understanding, PCC is valid for 3 months from the date of issue, and not 6 months. So, our PCC's are already expired!
