is it only possible for a spouse/common law partner to co-sign the sponsorship forms to meet the financial requirements, or can another (canadian) relative be used?

i hope to apply via the common law category. we are just trying to determine if we have enough proof. we dont have any joint bank accounts, tenancy agreements etc but we have been together for the past 12 years and have 2 children together.

in addition to my last post, we also have proof of an intended wedding last year (church booking/receipts, guest rsvp's etc), would this be of use?
