Might be... I did mention to the officer that I am traveling to the US and then she told me it is not a problem. Any other country... you might want to double check. But doing the whole process again sounds crazy to me...whne they have a record on your already.

I got my PPR last week and my PR yesterday and my ecas still shows in-progress.

I was at the consulate yesterday too. I submitted my passport at around 8:50 and collected it at 11:30. We might have seen each other :) Anyways good luck with everything. JonMonc

Went to detroit visa office and got my visa stamped and copr letter. Did the landing at windsor as well... Now 4-6 weeks for the pr card to be mailed to my address. Thanks everyone for yur support.

Thanks buddy :) It's been a long journey. Hope yours comes in very soon. I couldn't believe it when I say the mail. After all the fingerprint records not being received fiasco I wasn't expecting it before mid December.

It still says in process... I don't think it changes until u get your copr

I was asked to submit my fingerprints which I did in a week. However, the results were misplaced by cic and I only found that out when my local MP enquired with them. This might have costed me an unnecessary two months.

It's not for everyone. I have a very common first name , last name combo so perhaps I had too. If they haven't requested for it.... U probably don't have to.
