    February 2019 Citizenship Applicants

I had my citizenship ceremony at the Scarborough Chinese Cultural Centre this past Thursday (Nov. 7). It was lovely, and the judge was really funny too. As a gift they gave all of us access to an app that allows you to go to different museums for free for a year, so today I went to Casa Loma...

    February 2019 Citizenship Applicants

Same here, I signed up for email notifications, but on October 18 my ECAS page changed and said that they had sent me a notification. I ended up getting a letter today in the mail, 5 days later (with an oath date of November 7). Maybe you'll get a letter in the mail soon, too?

I got my oath date too: November 7, in Scarborough. The only problem is that I was supposed to be in Germany for work that day... I'm not sure what I will do :( My friend had to postpone her oath ceremony a while ago, and when she asked for a postponement they gave her a new date, ONE YEAR...

    February 2019 Citizenship Applicants

I had my test today in Scarborough, got 19/20. The test was WAY easier than the practice tests I did online. When I got there there was a sign saying in big letters that you had to show your record of landing during your interview, but I lost mine when the passport to which it was stapled got...

Already in Canada, passport requested... what do you do when you get it back?

Thank you very much, that was quick! I didn't know the name of those processes (landing, flagpoling, etc.), but now that I know, I could do some research. Apparently you can ask for an appointment with the CIC office here in Toronto (St. Clair), but it takes a couple of months, so they suggest...

Already in Canada, passport requested... what do you do when you get it back?

Hi! I sponsored my boyfriend through the Santiago office (we're both Chilean, and I've been a PR since 2008), although we've both been in Canada for almost a year now. We went for the Outside route even though he was in Canada with a visitor visa, because it was quicker. I'm assuming we're...
