I was wondering if I'm just supposed to tell them I'm applying for permanent residency when I apply for the extension.. because what if they deny me while my application is processing? And don't you have to leave if you apply for visitor visa?

Will I need a visa to actually stay there though because I'm from the U.S. after my 6 months are up? Or could I just apply for visitor extension?

Also, when I was reading about a visitor visa it says you intend to leave Canada. Am I supposed to say that I intend to leave Canada when I don't intend to do so or do I just tell them the situation?
