i checked my passport and my multiple visa expires in June 2012,but the stamp given by the officer when i first entered canada is valid until Feb 2012,and i have a work permit too,so does it mean i can leave Canada and reenter until June 2012?

i'm sorry to ask again,but i didn't get the answer,i already have a multiple visa,why do i have to apply for another one? isn't there anything as extending a multiple visitor visa? if not,then what's the use of getting a multiple visa instead of single? canada immigration system is soooo weird...
