Hi, my application was received in october 2011, 2nd aor from visa office in Chile received feb 2012.. Nothing else so far. Just waiting, the 2nd aor says I have to wait until february 2013 to ask them for status. Good luck everyonet

Thanks for your reply. I already apply to restore status for my work permit with a positive LMO on april 23. My employer is not very happy since I lost status on March 7. I've been out of work for more than two months. :(

In order to flag pole, do I need a valid visa to re enter canada? My work permit and visa are expired. Please advise

Posittive LMO received on April 23. 3 months and 17 days.

Was it submitted in Ontario?

My application sent on jan 6, still no results. Work permit refused, now waiting for positive lMO to restore status.

Hi Terry, any update in your case? I'm still waiting for LMO submitted on Jan 6.

You can apply for the extension a few days of your expiry date, provide the file nr from Service Canada. CIC will hold for two months (implied status). You should be fine.

An update on my case: Work permit expired oon Jan 8. Application submitted on Jan 6 LMO submitted on Jan 6 in Ontario Work permit refused on March 7, since LMO was not received on time. Now waiting for LMO to restore status. :( just waiting...
