They usually pay the agency in Canda who find the employer about 10% and keep the 90% for doing nothing. You can always do a direct hire..and do the papers yourself. Post an ad...

    you need to have one year expereince working and residing in HK to apply to canada from HK. HK is frequently used as a stepping stone to come to canada from PHILS as it is virtually impossible to get here from PHILS.

    From my experience they have always called the employer. I always call the employer in advance and let them know that they will be calling. They normally calll from Vancouver which is the most common point of entry. I am not sure what would happen if they arrived and they called the employer...

    You don't need to have a child to apply. I had an employer who was pregnant and didn't need the caregiver right away. Her LMO was approved and the caregiver arrived 5-6 months later.

    Live-in Care program - min. wage

    Live in caregiver wage is diff than the standard min wage. It has gone up from 9.25 to 10$ per hour. Many people thought it was 9.50$ but it is actually 10$ I double and triple checked as I have nanny and wanted to make sure I was paying the correct wage. Thanks

    As long as the LMO is not expired you will not need a new LMO. You can call HRSDC and they will be able to tell you if it is expired.
